This impressive extension added a contemporary twist to a large period residence, incorporating a Sedum roof that complements the moorland where the property is situated.

The new extension now offers a large kitchen with a dining area that includes a modern wood-burning stove and electrically operated roof lights.

The new dining space was all the more spectacular with the aluminium bifold doors which open fully to let the outdoor come inside. Off the kitchen, and part of the original house, we fitted a spectacular pantry that in fact was larger than most kitchens!

The second link into the original house provided room for bespoke shelving and the new floor area was installed with underfloor heating and slate flooring throughout.

To enter the extension, we installed a stunning bespoke door with side windows, all set beneath a cantilevered sedum roof that provides shelter from the elements.

Off the hallway we created a separate utility room, wine storage room and separate WC. The property also underwent a complete re-wire to bring it in line with modern regulations.

Much consideration was given to the external hard landscaping and garden to fully maximise the adjacent spaces, which incorporated curved stone walling using Cornish slate, an extended the patio and  an absolutely beautiful, newly-built path.

The project was registered with the Considerate Contractors scheme for the duration of the build.
